Hello Everyone,
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all that you have given in response to my first emails.
I wanted to send an update to let you know the impact we have collectively been able to make and what has happened so far this week.
-Dad had a Lyft ride to Bascom Palmer for a very important eye exam for Glaucoma. He is currently completely blind and needs help to get around at all.
–Babysat for kids this week- they used crayons for the first time!
-$800 saved directly to go exclusively to rent payment (this will be used to help launch them once mom has stable employment to keep up with the payments!)
–securedroom to sleep at night while mom searches for work(you know why this is possible? Remember the individual that I shared about that has changed my life and that we helped him get a spot at the church? He offered his room to help them! Yes, he met them while helping at the cold shelter and literally went to his boss and asked for them to please take his spot and he would sleep outside! This selfless offer has now led to 2 rooms opening up!
-shoes for mom and dad
-some clothing for children
-baby food and diapers
There are still ways to help!
If you know anyone that has gently used clothing and they would like to help by donating here are the sizes:
Baby Girls Size 6 to 12 months
Boys size 2t
Boys size 4t
Boys size 6/7
Dad size Medium
Mom size Large
They are starting from nothing so help with connecting with blind services, rent, toiletries, gently used household items, clothing, and nonperishable food items are still being accepted.
