Hello Volunteers!
I first want to wish you a Happy New Year!
2025 is already off to a great start with many opportunities for us to work together and show what forming community is all about!
Many of you joined us at Ruth Ministries in December. Several of you have taken the opportunity to answer a need that we were made aware of at Ruth Ministries. They are in desperate need of new or gently used shoes. I have already received several bags of shoes! Don’t worry though it’s not too late to help out. I’ll be dropping off to Ruth Ministries on going this week and next.
I am also working on collecting opened or unopened packages of diapers in all sizes to help out caretakers that take on the unexpected expense of caring for a little one. This helps prevent homelessness before it starts by supporting family caretakers that help fill the role of a parent.
Planning on joining us at the VLC meeting this week or at Provident Park on Monday? Have that old pair of shoes in the closet and wondering what you will ever do with them? Bring them along to our next meeting and donate them to someone in dire need! There is no act of kindness too small!
Have a child, grandchild or friend’s child that outgrew their diapers or recently potty trained? Bring those diapers too! They will go to GREAT use!
If these projects aren’t your thing don’t worry. Come up with another idea and share it with us! We want to help as many people as possible and of course there are many ways to do this.
